THE HIEROPHANT

The Hierophant represents spiritual authority, a leader who guides and teaches us. The Hierophant is someone who incorporates the Divine into every day. In this card the Dalai Lama teaches in front of a giant green Buddha. Green is the color of the heart chakra. Here is a leader who uses his status to spread a message of love, hope, compassion and acceptance. Even though he represents Tibetan Buddhism he speaks for all humanity. His morality is not reserved for his followers but embraces all sentient beings. 

Meaning: In our search to understand the meaning of life we look for a teacher; a Hierophant who will channel Divine wisdom.
