The World

Never before have there been so many messages coming in about the need to heal our mother Earth. We must evolve beyond our materialistic needs and return to the garden. The World reflects the culmination of the Tarot archetypical journey - it speaks of wholeness and numinous revelation. The ancient philosophers and alchemists described the world as a living spiritual being and referred to it as Anima Mundi - the soul of the world. Plato said that the world was a single living entity containing all other living entities which by their nature are all related. Jung wrote that consciousness was no longer an egotistical bundle of personal wishes, fears, hopes and ambitions but instead a indissoluble communion with the world at large. I offer this painting as loving vision of unity and healing.
